As usual, there was a lot going on: fiac, the Musee D’Orsay, DADA at the Pompidou, etc. Some people went to museums and galleries and other art-related sites. We also got in some time to visit around Paris. The next couple of days the American artists were hanging their work in the studios of the Paris host artists. He has an amazing space! At the party the American artists who had arrived in Paris already met the French host artists, and there was wine and food and much merriment – plus an announcement of some of the week’s events from Le Genie’s president, Danielle Loisel. All of the artists participating in the exchange - from Paris, San Francisco and Chicago - were welcomed with a group party at the Paris studio of Jean-Robert Franco (host to Catherine Small of San Francisco).
